BECOME A
CHAMPION OF CHANGE

Some athletes earn millions while others make ends meet. Regardless of your financial situation, all of us have the power to make a significant impact on the world. Read on to see how this can become a reality.

YOUR VOICE IS YOUR
GREATEST ATTRIBUTE.

As athletes we possess an incredible tool - our voice. We can use this as our megaphone to help shift the global narrative and make this world a better place.

Many athletes hesitate to use their voice to support charitable causes due to past scandals and a lack of trust in the field. We hear you, which is why we only recommend the most extensively researched charities in the world. These organizations put impact and transparency first, and provide honest answers to all the big questions, so you can rest assured your support is going exactly where it should.

If by using your voice you manage to influence just one person to embark on their own philanthropic journey or redirect their giving to a more effective organization, you've already made a significant impact on the world. Now imagine multiplying that by dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people.

Together, we can create a snowball effect of positive change that keeps growing and growing. That’s how real impact can be had.

FROM PRIVILEGE
TO PURPOSE

While only a small number of us earn millions, the rest of us can still make a substantial impact through giving. If this idea seems daunting, let us explain why it shouldn't be:

The global extreme poverty line is set at $2.15 USD per day.

Just think about trying to survive on $2.15 per day. This makes life a series of impossible choices: Do you buy food for your children, or do you prioritize shelter? You can choose shelter, but then you can’t afford medicine. You can choose medicine, but then you can’t afford food. This is reality for around 700 million people in the world today.

Now, let's contrast that with the median income in the USA, which is $31,133. If you earn this income, you belong to the richest 4.3% of the global population. Even if you donated 10% of your income, you would still be part of the richest 5.3%.

The point is, if we were fortunate enough to be born in a high-income country and excel in sports, we have the ability to give back and do our part in balancing the scales. Moreover, our recommended charities are incredibly cost-effective, so even a small monthly donation can make a significant impact.

For one coffee per week, you can change hundreds of lives.

ATHLETES.

Led by Olympians Marcus Daniell and Hugo Inglis, HIA was founded on the belief that if you’re going to perform at your peak, everything you do must be optimized.
Why should giving be any different?

That’s why we are personally committed to our mission of turning the sporting sector into a force for good.

We both walk the talk by dedicating a percentage of our income to the most optimized charities in the world.
We are assembling a global team of change-makers to join us on this journey.
